Start with a topic. The essence appears here, with sources for further reading next to it.
The first version searches Wikipedia. Every result links directly to the original.
Local topics and already loaded results appear instantly. From two characters, after a 120-millisecond typing pause, we add title and full-text search from Wikipedia. Up to 20 results appear first; “More results” loads further ones. We load the longer article extract only for the selected result.
New input aborts old requests. There are no preloaded images, external fonts or automatically opened web pages. Storage stays limited to this session.
“First results” measures from the start of the search until the page updates with the first matching results; “Live search” until the update with the Wikipedia results, including the typing pause. The separately loaded article extract is not included. We measure delivery into the page, not the actual paint. Two decimal places are only the display format: browsers often round their clock more coarsely for security and privacy reasons, so an accuracy of 0.01 s is not promised.
The quick answer is an extract from the selected Wikipedia article, not an independently verified or generated answer. “Super Intelligence” is the product name of this prototype.
During live search, your search text is sent to Wikimedia. Response time depends on the connection. Wikipedia texts are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0; you can find the authors in the revision history of the linked article.
